Do you ever set off through that first draft, only to hit >>WRITE THIS LATER<<. I'm stumbling through a minefield of directions I'd left myself, never realising I'd done this.
Ah, well. Zap them now I suppose.
At least the weather's holding up - warm, sunny - uplifting!
Thought for the day - "I am tired of all this thing called science here... We have spent millions in that sort of thing for the last few years, and it is time it should be stopped." Senator S Cameron (1901)
My first peep through a really big telescope was at age 12, in Calton Hill Observatory Edinburgh. And the first planet I saw was Venus. Not as a flat disc, but a tiny world in full 3-D. Perfect. A pearl in the heavens.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year indeed ... bah, humbug!
(And have you noticed how seldom one hears "A happy and prosperous new year these days?)
Never mind. I'm Rob Campbell, I live in New Zealand, and have launched this blog as a way of drawing all my writer friends together. And anyone else who wants to stop by.
Which means YOU! Do not escape from this blogsite.
Going Blog is my way of celebrating completion of a 90 k novel provisionally titled 'Pearl.' Now you understand the 'Pearler' bit of the title. How about 'Confessions?'
I'm the confessor. One intention of the blog is to force myself to own up to progress in revising it.
I enjoy the writing part of the process -- crashing through a first draft -- but can't endure revisions.
So, feel free to ask me how it's panning out. Go on, embarrass me!
